Destruction

Number 16, The Destruction card.
The Destruction card is our interpretation of "The Tower" card. We have a Pixie who is tearing themselves apart. They are decaying and burning in the fire under them. Ultimately, they will be completely destroyed.
However, amongst all the chaos, we see butterflies escaping from it's body. These butterflies represent change and rebirth.
While this card may not always be a lovely card to receive in a reading, in the end, sometimes we need to completely break down in order to become something new.
This card can represent trauma and destruction, but radical change does not always have to be negative. Perhaps in the moment it can feel negative. It can feel like the worst thing in the world. But maybe a few days, months, or even years later, you will look back on it and see that it was actually one of the best things that could have ever happened for you.
It's natural for change to strike fear in us and make us feel upset and uncomfortable. This is normal. However, sometimes old ways that we once thought benefited us, may no longer be serving us in the best way. Maybe we need to find and develop new beliefs and habits.

Card in Reverse:
The Destruction card in reverse can suggest tension and some sort of negative forces in the distance. Perhaps there is something you're trying to avoid.
Sometimes that difficult conversation, that hard choice, that thing that could ultimately hurt someone else, is actually the decision that will prove best in the end. What may feel like a loss, isn't actually a loss. What feels like an obstacle, is actually a needed lesson.
Breaking down can be a good thing. We can't continue to build and grow on soft sand. We'll just keep sinking deeper into the ground. Rebuilding on a stronger foundation will help hold us up higher, we can stand with confidence knowing that the ground will not collapse beneath us.
Take some time to think about your situation and ask yourself what the best approach will be. Let's not avoid it any longer if we can help it.
