Seven of Cups

Reverse:
Daydreaming, Illusion, Dreams, Choices, New ideas
Upright:
Confusion, Lacking purpose, Making bad choices
The Seven of Cups represents, imagination, choices, dreams and fantasy. The seven cups in this card represent different ideas, choices, and visions we may have while we dream.
This card can remind us to really look at any ideas we have and make sure that there are no shadows lurking in the background. Be careful of wishful thinking and be cautious of choices you make.
This card can also suggest that you may be excited, but also fearful when it comes to what you visualize. It's possible that you have dreams you'd like to reach, and you are enjoying daydreaming about them, but when it actually comes to taking action, you hesitate. The Seven of Cups wants to remind you that if you do not take action, your dreams will never become a reality. Only you have the power to make it happen.
Alternatively, this card also wants us to look into our dreams. Sometimes the best ideas come to us when we are sleeping. Keep a pad of paper and a pen by your bed and write down your dreams. If you are having trouble making a decision or coming up with new ideas, advice from your unconscious may help you.
Card in Reverse:
The Seven of Cups in reverse is some-what similar to what it means in the upright position, only it's taking on a more negative tone. Perhaps your dreams are planted more in fantasy than reality. For example, your goals for the future that you like to daydream about don't seem very realistic. It's also possible that you are unwilling to face the realities of life, and you take comfort in escaping them by dreaming of another. You may be feeling lost right now, and you aren't sure of what you should search for. Know that this confusing time will not last, though you can help it along by trying to ground yourself in reality. It doesn't have to be scary, it can be as little as learning to accept the world around you as it is in this very moment.
